Anybody use Nokian tires? What has been your experience?
Our sienna eats tires (apparently fairly common) and I need new tires really soon . I’m considering because they offer a higher load rating, and I’m hopeful that it’ll hold up a little better under the assumption that the sienna eats tires due to weight.

I have the Nokian WRG4 on my STi. They were pretty good at what I bought them for, winter driving. Granted, I live in Los Angeles so that concept is laughable. But that is why I did not buy a dedicated true snow tire. This tire survived on my three week trip to Utah, Wyoming, and Montana where I was pounded with snow, dealt with steep snowy driveways, and sketchy mountain passes. Sure the car is also a Subaru but I think I would have been screwed with standard all seasons or at least subject to a lot more unintended tire spinning. On shear ice, I experienced some ABS action which showed that they were not snow tires. But with being “not an idiot” they performed very well. These are the only “snow worthy” tires that also have a treadware warranty (50k miles). On warm dry pavement, they arent anywhere near as bad as a snow tire either. These then perform like an all season. I do overall get at least a 1-2mpg loss on the highway using these tires versus a summer tire but its manageable. I have been canyon carving with them and they are pretty bad at that but still fun enough for a street car. I just get plenty of understeer and complaining out of them versus the 200TW summers they replaced. Will see how long they really last! At about 10k on them now and soon to do my third rotation.

Their snow tires are absolute beasts. I have no experience with their non winter stuff.

I’ve found them to be, b y far, the best winter tires I’ve used. Hakka 8 & 9, and R3. I bought the R2 for my brother to use o n his Odyssey, and he loves them.
Can’t go wrong.

I just bought a set of all-season Nokian Rotiiva tires for the truck. I’ve barely driven on them, but I know how good their snow tires are so I figure the all-seasons should be at least adequate.

I run WRG4's on my STI in the winter and am quite happy with them in pretty much every condition. I have also run WRG2 and WRG3's on rwd police-Tahoes. Both of those had good all weather performance as well. Even when worn, they provided decent traction. I have also run Hakkapelita R2's on another STI that i had. It was unstoppable in the snow but very vague and floaty above 60*.
All in all, Nokian is a pretty solid tire brand and while they are primary known for their snow and ice dominance, they also provide many other good tires that are good year round.
